Bird population reduction measures.

These methods can be used as an alternative to proofing measures:

• Gull nursery programmes -regular nest removal visits throughout the seagull breeding seasons (fortnightly visits between April-June).
• Shoots (carried out in controlled areas or out of hours).
• Live trapping (cage trapping over a period of weeks).

Proofing buildings and other structures using bird control installation systems.

A survey is carried out and quotations submitted with the most suitable cost affective system. Parts and labour are guaranteed for up to 5 years. All bird proofing is installed using marine grade stainless steel parts.

Our Pest Technicians are fully trained and experienced in pest bird management and have IPAF Mobile Access Platform licences. Proofing systems prevent birds perching, roosting, nesting and fouling

PEST BIRDS

There are 11 identified pest bird species in the UK. The most common problem species are :

• Feral pigeon (can cause large scale fouling).
• Herring Gull (fouling and aggressive at breeding season).
• Lesser Black-backed Gull.
• Greater Black-backed Gull (both as above).

CONTAMINATION - bird fouling contaminates food and packaged produce.
DAMAGE - corrosion from droppings, water damage from nests and droppings blocking roof drainage systems.
INJURY - aggressive seagulls, slip hazards from bird fouling.
